1 Samuel 2:1 Then Hannah prayed and said: "My heart rejoices in the L-rd; in the L-rd my horn is lifted high. My mouth boasts over my enemies, for I delight in Your deliverance.
Psalm 13:5 But I trust in Your unfailing love; my heart rejoices in your salvation.
Psalm 16:9 Therefore my heart is glad and my tongue rejoices; my body also will rest secure..
Acts 2:25 Therefore my heart is glad and my tongue rejoices; my body also will rest in hope....Going through trials is not without benefits. Let's face it....discipline doesn't feel good but it is necessary. How else would we ever know G-d is really for us if He did not put us to the test?
One of the benefits of this trial is that I am learning that keeping His word is not for only when it feels right or when it is convenient or when it doesn't cramp my style. Psalm 119:138 says He has commanded exceeding faithfulness. No it isn't listed among the 10 but His laws are not suggestions! Sometimes keeping His law is painful; just listen to the Psalmist in Psalm 119:143 Trouble and anguish have come upon me.......
Why have trouble and anguish come upon me? I can so relate to this verse because my trouble and anguish are results of standing behind His commandments at the cost of my mother's heart.
But the good news is the last half of verse 143 YET YOUR COMMANDMENTS ARE MY DELIGHT!
I have gotten to the place where I can say unequivocally that His commandments are my delight and my heart rejoices with the truth. His promises are yes and Amen! No one can ask Him why He does something for He owns the cattle on a thousand hills and controls all the people on earth and all the powers of heaven. Daniel 4:32, Psalm 50
He can and will move mountains on my behalf. He can do exceedingly abundantly MORE than I could ask or think! But even if this problem of mine does not go away
MY HEART REJOICES IN G-D MY SAVIOR!
